Using digital cameras and scanners.



This is considered an advanced course.


1st DAY OF CLASS: Bring your digital camera on the first day of class as well as a flash/thumb drive (512 MB minimum)


The Course Covers:

This course examines how digital cameras and scanners work, how to use them, and the factors to consider when buying them. It also looks at what comes on a digital CD when you have film developed and saved on a CD, as well as standard photo paper. Finally you get a brief introduction into the use of image processing programs with photos.

  1. Overview of how digital cameras and scanners work, what to look for in a digital camera, and how to save and use digital photos.
  2. Scanners, and scanning software.
  3. CDs containg digitized photo images taken from a roll of standard developed film, plus insight into a few special image processing programs.

Each class meets 3 times (sessions), 3 hours per session (9 hours total).

Each class holds six (6) students - one per computer.
